Curriculum

We are currently undergoing a period of reflection and transition with our curriculum.  As part of this process we are reviewing our long and medium term plans to deliver a high quality curriculum to meet the needs of our pupils.  Subject leaders across the Academy Trust are working together to develop a curriculum plan that ensures strong progression and knowledge against the scope and breadth of the National Curriculum, our local area and the pupils attending our academy.  More information on our long term planning will be published at a later date.

Below are our Curriculum Coverage Booklets for the current term for our classes.

Educational Visits

We believe that educational visits play an important role in broadening children's knowledge and understanding of the world. We offer a rich and varied range of interesting and exciting educational visits to enhance our pupils' learning across the curriculum. Trips always support educational objectives and adhere to rigorous local authority risk assessments, approved by the Headteacher and Directors of the Academy, to ensure children remain safe whilst they are outside the school environment. The Academy has two minibuses which allow us to take part in many out of school activities and undertake collaborative activities with Scawby Academy.

We also provide 8 weeks of swimming lessons for every child in Years 3 to 5 and top up swimming for those yet to be proficient at swimming in Year 6.
